A Space to Practice Compassion

Metta Dojo is where two martial paths meet, Karate from the outside in, Taiji from the inside out, together with the ancient art of vibrational healing. All in service of the same realization: kindness to all things.

WHAT IS METTA DOJO

A space to set your Heart free.

In Buddhism, Metta means compassion, unconditional love and kindness to all things. Dojo (道場) is a Japanese word for a space to practice an art discipline, most often martial arts. Hence, Metta Dojo is a space to practice compassion, or any discipline that leads to being kind to all things, including oneself.

Two martial art disciplines are practiced at Metta Dojo. One is a path from the outside in, and the other from the inside out. Both serve the same realization of Metta. In other words: at Metta Dojo, we practice self-defense until there is no self to defend.

Two martial disciplines are practiced here, one from the outside in, one from the inside out. Both point to the same realization.

At Metta Dojo, we practice self-defense until there is no self to defend. The body becomes calm; the mind becomes still; the heart opens. Everything rests in what remains.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Meet Kay.

Kay practices and teaches traditional Okinawan Karate and Yang-style Taijiquan with the same energetic principle, leading to the self-realization of no-self and oneness. His background in nuclear physics led him to explore consciousness, and to the ancient art of vibrational healing from the Amazon forest.
